Rules and Condition of Enrolment
1. No student will be admitted to any course until the director of studies or head of department is satisfied that the student’s previous education will enable him/her to benefit from the proposed course.
2. The registration fee of £50.00 is non refundable unless KCBC is not able to offer the course
3. Where a student who having paid his/her fees does not take up the particular course, the sponsors and/or the relevant authorities will be notified. UK Border Agency will only consider an overseas student to be a full-time student if he/she is receiving at least 15 hours of daytime study per week. Failure to attend courses regularly may result in the cancellation of a Visa granted by the UK Border Agency.
4. Where a student does not regularly maintain over 80% attendance or is absent for 10 lessons he or she may be immediately dismissed (unless a medical certificate is provided), and the appropriate authorities will be informed of such dismissal.
5. Failure to attend two consecutive months (without notice) will result in dismissal from the College and forfeiture of any remaining fees.
6. Accommodation deposit are not refundable.
7. Where a student having been issued a Visa fail to arrive or enrol at the College. The College will immediately inform the UK Border Agency of such breach in immigration rule and condition.
8. A lecturer or tutor has the right, not to allow any student who arrives more than five minutes late for lesson at their discretion.
9. The College reserves the right to refuse any application for enrolment for any reason whatsoever.
10. Deposits and full payments of tuition fees are not refundable under any circumstances. The ONLY exception is where a student enrolling from overseas is refused an entry visa or entry clearance from the consular department of the British Embassy or High Commission, provided that this refusal is substantiated by an original copy of the refusal letter and the College is informed within
2 weeks. In such cases there will be a deduction of £200.00 for administrative expenses. Student will be asked to return all original copies of letters issued by the College.
11. If entry Visa is refused because funds required for student maintenance to support the application is not enough or not available for at least 28 days before the submission of the application in line with the UKBA rules, no refund will be made by the College.
12. Where a CAS has been issued and the applicant failed to submit application for entry clearance, refund of part deposit paid to the College will only be made at the College discretion depending on individual circumstances.
13. Students who have returned to their country for personal reasons may transfer their fees or deposits to start at the College at a later date. Alternatively, at the College discretion may be allowed to use their fees as part payment for a new student they may introduce to the College. This new student will then become responsible for payments of the outstanding fees. Students applying for the refund must produce evidence of the arrangement made to return home.
14. The College provides tuition for students from overseas in strict accordance with the condition that the students have agreed to abide by when obtaining a UK student visa. Any non-compliance with these conditions (unless explained by medical or other relevant documentation) may result in the student being dismissed and the relevant authorities informed.
15. All tuition fees must be paid in accordance with the procedure for the registration and enrolment of students. Should a students make late payments on any instalment due, or default on any of these conditions or fail to attend classes to the satisfaction of the College, then the instalment facility will cease at once and the whole of the balance payable for the tuition shall become immediately due whether or not the student continues in class.
16. All fees are for tuition only, unless otherwise stated. Examination fees are additional unless otherwise stated.
17. You are not enrolled on a course until we receive full payment of the tuition fee
18. The College reserves the right to change lectures times, or to alter or vary at any time from the published course outline.
19. The College reserves the right to merge certain classes with other classes of the same academic level, at anytime.
20. The College reserves the right to alter or amend its internal certificates or diplomas.
21. Irrespective of any information provided verbally by any member of staff of the College to prospective students, all students will be subject to the conditions herein.
22. The College will not be responsible for any mail or monies sent to students who use the College as an accommodation address.
21. The above conditions will be subject to interpretation under English Law.
